Have to say, Mike is a great teacher. Puts things across in a way that is really easy to understand and execute. You can tell that he absolutely loves what he does, and you feel that in your lesson. He very quickly got me and was able to outline a plan that I know will improve my playing. If you’re new to drumming or a seasoned pro and you want to improve Mike is the guy!

Mike Barnes, is the best teacher that I've had one to one teaching with, he is so patient, and breaks down the music into simple chunks, so that you learn sections and move on as you get it into your brain, and nervous system, this being able to play that section.
He has helped me with drum exam grades over the last three years, achieving. with Rockschool exams, taken at local studios, passing grades missed out 1,2, and 5, but studied them ...so took grades 3,4,6,7 and 8...Grade 8 I took last December. I have just turned 77 yrs, so no one is too late to try...Thankyou Mike for your brilliant skills as a brilliant teacher, and active drummer in playing in bands ..

Really enjoyed my lesson with Mike. I've had some teachers in the past who would dismiss my questions if I wanted to delve deeper into a subject, but Mike was willing to break things down and explain the core.

If you want a teacher who doesn't just show you how to do something, but explains it fully, then he's your man.
